With this year winding down, thought I'd share some of the girls Girl Scout stuff from since we've moved up here. They have done tons of thing, something almost every weekend. They have gone to an American Girl event (earned their Historical Fiction patch), Bowling (bowling patch), the circus, the firehouse (Allie's troop), did some school grounds clean-up (Kayleigh's troop), Daddy daughter dance, Mommy daughter tea, GMU softball clinic...and so much more. Here are some highlights...well what we have pictures of. :-)
And check back soon for some birthday party pics from this year!!

Kayleigh is a Brownie, again!! On May 11, her Daisy troop bridged over to Brownies. This was excited for her, even though she's been a Brownie before in NC. But because of how things worked out and her changing troops, she didn't get to actually do a bridging ceremony there...and then we came up here and they didn't have a Brownie troop that would take a 1st grader, since all their 1st graders were Daisys. So confusing, but she didn't mind being a Daisy and working on a few things she hadn't earned in Daisy's in NC. But now she's a Brownie, and looking forward to the next 2 years of fun!! Oh, and daddy is so confused with all these ceremonies...he thought she had already bridged, because he attended an investeture ceremony with her in NC. I was trying to explain the differences to him, but he prefers to just be told where and when he needs to be somewhere. LOL :-) Oh, there is a short video at the bottom of her bridging.

Proud little Brownie...she kept asking if she could eat a Brownie that night!

Her whole Brownie troop...all these girls are in 1st grade at the same school, which is really fun for Kayleigh!!
Playing infield at George Mason University softball field after watching a game.

Earlier in April, the girls got the chance to go to a Girl Scout Softball clinic with the softball team from George Mason University. Even though they aren't playing this season they really wanted to do this. And I think it has sparked their interest again in girls softball (as long as they don't have to play with boys, as they say). So fall ball here we come!!!
Practicing throwing back and forth...last two on end near GMU players.

Also in April the girls and daddy attended our local Daddy & daughter dance. They even had corsages and boutinneres for them to wear. They had a really good time out together...
